SYSO offers several competitive programs to help develop players' abilities beyond the recreational level through a commitment to increased levels of soccer training and competition.  Players learn technical proficiency, tactical awareness, and personal development and are overseen by professional, licensed, and experienced Coaches.

The Travel, Premier, and High School age programs compete with other clubs in the CT area.  Most games are within a 30-45 minute drive.  Occasionally, these teams will compete in weekend and/or out of state tournaments too.

The Travel, and Premier teams compete from August through June of each year.  The High School age teams compete in December through June with SYSO, as they are encouraged to play in the fall with their respective high school team.

As a general practice, SYSO forms new teams around June of every year through open tryouts.  Players may be placed on either a Premier or Travel team, depending on roster size, at the SYSO staff discretion.
